The Perfect Album for Spring: Pauline Croze

Can you have a crush on an album?

I'm not sure where, but last year I heard a track off Pauline Croze's self title debut album, and I was instantly smitten with it. It took me some time, but I tracked down the album on Amazon (as an import). It's been about a year now, and even with my 80+ Gigs of music AND Rhapsody, I still find myself putting this album on once or twice a month.

Since my french is quite rusty...I have no idea what she's singing about, but I could care less. Her songs envelop you like warm blanket and her voice is sublime.

This is the perfect album to put in if driving down the coast in the sun...or perhaps through a winding wooded road...the sunlight peeking through the gaps in the leaves.

You can listen to her music on LastFM and pick the album up on Amazon.

Here are two of my favorite tracks off the album:

And I've managed to track down two videos

If you like her, you might like a French band called Nouvelle Vague. They do amazing acoustic bossa nova-ish interpretations of old punk songs.
